Hiking in Zillertal
The Ziller valley is a hiker's paradise with over 1,000 km of walking trails. From green mountain peaks through to glacier tours, there's something to suit everyone here. The attractive holiday resort of Hart is situated in a particularly sunny position at the front end of the Ziller valley and is completely unspoiled.
Cycling and mountain biking
Anyone who has already felt the clear mountain air rushing past them when cycling in Zillertal will know that there is no better place on earth for cycling than here. Enjoy the impressive backdrop of mountains and rich countryside as you cycle along the banks of the Ziller river or the many small streams – with an extensive network of cycle paths that stretches over 800 km, there are different routes to suit all tastes and abilities.
Climbing and climbing routes
Climbing occupies a special place in the tradition of Zillertal and is one of the valley's oldest sports. Climbing enthusiasts will be spoiled for choice here, with nine fixed-rope routes, indoor climbing, bouldering, an outdoor climbing tower and four climbing parks to choose from.
Cooling down on hot summer days
If you wish to take a refreshing dip after a strenuous hike or straight after breakfast, simply head to one of our open-air swimming pools or the Schlitterer Badesee lake. As an alternative in bad weather, you can visit the public swimming baths, such as the Erlebnistherme thermal spa in Fügen, which are also open in summer.
